[SPOCNE] re-hash of my BCM problem

The radio dried out and now it works fine. I have a cheapo Actron PocketScan code reader. The service writer @ Saturn of Portsmouth strongly implied that:1.) The dealer's equipment could detect codes that my generic device would not even see; and 2.) There are additional data collection ports on the L-series (other than the OBD II port). I thought that there are both generic and manufacturer-specific codes and that all code readers would detect them all. The only problem would be getting a list of the manufacturer-specific codes and maybe an official shop manual to figure out what to do about the reported code. Despite his offer of a few free oil changes to soothe my ruffled feathers, I doubt I'll ever take a car to Saturn of Portsmouth again.--- On Fri 12/28, Michael Di Stefano < saracingsports at yahoo.com > wrote:From: Michael Di Stefano [mailto: saracingsports at yahoo.com]To: spocne at spocne.orgDate: Fri, 28 Dec 2007 06:33:16 -0800 (PST)Subject: Re: [SPOCNE] SPOCNE
